About Me

I am currently a full-time student at Simon Fraser University completing a second degree, this time in Criminology with a certificate in Social Justice. I already have a BA in Human Relations (human systems) and Family Life Education, with a certificate in Human Resource Management, and a diploma as a Developmental Service Worker. I am also a person who stutters and has been involved in the stuttering community for over twenty years as an advocate, presenter, writer, keynote speaker, President of BCAPS, support group facilitator, guest lecturer, author of six books, and founder of the Facebook group for parents and family members of children who stutter. My husband is also a member of the stuttering community and we have two teenage children. I am fluent in American Sign Language and I have worked/volunteered in the Deaf community for over twenty years.
